Visual Charts

21st July 2014 14:46

Many children arrive at our clinic being told “they can’t maintain attention, they can’t sit still, or they have no interest in learning”. There could be many reasons for this. However, if your child does have difficulties with listening, a simple visual schedule can greatly facilitate their ability to (i) sit in the chair, (ii) maintain attention, and (iii) complete their work. If a child has missed hearing what they are about to do he/she will get restless and fidgety. A visual schedule will help a child see what he/she is about to do. All children want to learn, it just has to be delivered in the right way for their learning style.
